When,Where,What I “Shopped my Stash”
I am going to share my recent visit to my Makeup drawers. I cleaned up all the boxes and baskets storing my old makeup. Though I rediscovered so many oldies but only few really special purchase made their way to this post. I picked up products which I have used minimal for this post while I will be sharing other oldies in rediscovered section.
I recently discovered Shopped my Stash posts in various beauty blog while I was browsing net for ideas on Budget Makeups. I read the whole idea and was quite thrilled to shop. I am beauty and makeup enthusiast so I shop little more makeup than required. I have stocked up enough makeup and as per my “house help” I own a store!!
Shopped my Stash is when you wade through your own makeup collection, add things to your shopping basket and check out without paying. The whole idea looked interesting as it is a good way to use up your old favorites , thrills my mind with dummy shopping experience and I am on budget!!.
It was on my mind since a while. I cleaned up and arranged my stuff by end of March but the post got delayed as I am supposed to take up my Transition phase Life Coach Exam.Keep reading her for more!!
When,Where,What I “Shopped my Stash”
I have already answered when? in the introduction of this post . I have inserted a picture answering Where? in the end of the post.
What I shopped? I am going alphabetically today . So starting up with Avon!!
I am a lipstick hoarder. I love keeping up with latest lip trends and shades.A while back ,when i visited my parents I bought Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Gold Shine Lipstick in Golden Wine from my Mom’s friend who is Avon’s BA. I used it for a week continuously and then forgot about it lying inside my purse. Just discovered it while cleaning up my space. I still find it the best wine shade lipstick in my collection. Sans shimmer and reflective finish, shade looks very similar to what Nimrat Kaur wore in movie Airlift.
Beyu Lip Creme Lipstick in 35 was lying still laminated and unused. I think Beyu has discontinued this Lip range as per their website. Beyu Catwalk All Over Powder is the contour kit with cobblestone embossings on the product. I loved the packaging of this product. Beside using it as contour, I am loving using the three shades as blush individually as well as together. I was not able to spot it on Beyu website either. In fact Beyu has wrapped up their counter from Chandigarh. It seems they are no more operational in India as I have not seen BeYu Online also. ( Let me know if otherwise )
I packed this Divine Plum Lip Gloss in my Dalhousie makeup bag,day I spotted it. Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip Gloss Plum Divine is gorgeous plum shade with shimmers. Formula is non sticky. I will be reviewing and sharing FOTD of this gloss soon on blog.
My skin is going through yet another Acne phase. Currently I have active acne and blemishes on my cheeks. I was happy to rediscover Inglot creamy concealer in shade 34 lying in my Makeup drawers. I bought this online at majorbrands.in. I was primarily looking out for a concealer for my under eye area. But this looked ashy on me so I didn’t use it much. My skin was lot clear then and I could not see myself using it on face so this went to rest. But now I will consider that it was hibernating as I am going to use it for blemish cover.
On to MAC – I shopped four MAC goodies.
- MAC Lipstick Tabla
- MAC Pure Orange Studio Finish Skin Corrector
- MAC Blush Peaches
- MAC Eyeshadow in Rice paper
Tabla being brown lipstick took back seat while so many other peach blushes pushed MAC Peaches behind. Being very honest, I forgot owning MAC Peaches (!!???##@@). So discovering it was almost as thrilling as purchasing the new one from store. I never put Orange corrector to proper use either but excited to test it with my lighter foundations now. I was mostly using Inglot Pearl Eyeshadow 455 for my inner corner from quiet some time. I knew, I had Rice paper so this time took it out in my shopping basket.
Smashbox Fusion Soft Lights Bake Stardust is gorgeous wheel of five glimmering shades. My sister bought this for me from Australia. This is the third product I have used from Smashbox after primer and cream blush duo. I have developed good rapport with this brand. Baked Stardust imparts soft glow finish to my complexion when I use it as highlighter. All 5 shades sectors are pretty but when used together compliment my Indian Skin tone best.
I think that all Makeup Lovers will agree with me on having a deep desire to own at least one YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick. I have it in shade 02!! I adore packaging of the lipsticks . Formula is butter soft and lipstick wears very light on lips. I will be sharing my review on this soon on blog
So that is pretty much I shopped for my makeup bag. It was quiet a guilt free shopping as I was on budget yet shopped products of my heart.
I designed this closet myself and I store my entire makeup in this buddy. I have not labelled the drawers but I store makeup in the middle three drawers. My beauty supplies go in side drawers. I hope you enjoyed reading this post
