Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist Review,Price

Hey Everyone,

I have recently got my hair colored-Balayege by Wella Professional. My hair stylist advised me to do bit of extra care for my hair by keeping them hydrated and nourished especially now when they are chemically treated. I took few extra treatments for my hair pre and post coloring them . I will be sharing all the details on my hair color in a separate post. While I was browsing on internet  for best hydrating hair sprays I found Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist as must try.

One of my colleague gifted me Paul mitchell stuff year ago which was kept unopened since the day I got it. I just thought it to be a styling product or so, never that experimental with my hair so the products were resting unused. I looked up for the packet and spotted this Moisture Mist. I felt as I have rubbed out genie from a bottle checking in my wishlist.

I have been using this stuff since last two months. Here in today’s post i.e

Deeply hydrates thirsty hair and revives dry, tired skin.

Lactic acid and Hawaiian awapuhi provide deep moisture and enhanced shine. Spirulina and plankton extracts rich in amino acids and vitamins make hair soft, hydrated and silky smooth, while sodium PCA balances moisture.

Reactivates styling products in hair, making it perfect for quick touch-ups.

My hair and skin are ridiculous dry. I feel bit uncomfortable sharing this but my hair tangle up at roots near my nape while sleeping because of dryness.  Beside this while combing my hair, I can feel the dry loud sound which never existed before when my hair were softer and normal. Because my hair tangle up at roots, indicates the overall dryness of the hair cuticle. I wash my hair twice a week and follow up with regular conditioner. I am applying Macadamia deep conditioning Hair rejuvenating mask once in fortnight . Despite this,my hair will loose moisture and go extremely dry-post a day after hair wash. With impending summers, I could see them getting drier due to sun exposure. Plus I have got my hair colored. Considering all this , I have bought couple of hair products for ongoing care as well as for styling.

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist Review,Freshly Sprayed on Hair

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist is packaged in tall 8.5 floz white plastic bottle with turquoise blue accents and black lettering. Blue spray is covered with transparent plastic cap which keeps the opening hygienic. Pump works effectively and spritz out very fine mist.Though the mist can be used both on Hair and body, I mostly end up using it on my hair.

How I use?

  1. I hold the the bottle a scale length away from my hair and spray it on from mid shaft till the ends. After doing so , I just brush out my hair with my fingers to distribute the mist more evenly.
  2. At night, I spray it on hair roots towards my nape, massage a little to prevent morning tangles.
  3. I have also used it to catch fly- outs especially in dry weather.
  4. To enhance the results of styling product, I spray it pre styling . Wait for it to get absorbed completely before moving on to styling product.
  5. I have sometimes used it on my towel dry hair. My hair post drying feels softer, manageable, bouncy and healthy.
  6. For Blog purposes, I have tested it on my Body skin also. It hydrates and smoothens up dryness patches on my skin.

As you can see in FOTD above-It does not weigh down my hair. Post spraying  hair with Awapuhi Moisture Mist-Neither they are greasy nor sticky. My hair are softer and silkier without a frizz or tangle. Somehow I have seen that it accentuates natural waves towards my hair ends.( Despite trying many times, I was not able to show in pictures the Before/After difference on my hair. But My hair definitely look healthy and hydrated from their normal self.)

It has lovely fragrance which is claimed to be of Hawaiian herb Awapuhi but I find mild notes of cucumber on top of sea kelp/sea breeze. Fragrance is refreshing and lasts for few hours in my hair.

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist Hydrating Spray replenishes moisture in my dry dull hair.My hair look vibrant and healthy than before. I use it on daily basis except on the days I wash my hair.On my body, I usually use it middle of the day to extend the hydration sometimes post shower also. I have not used it on my face for the fear of breaking out as my skin is quite erratic these  days. Beside this I am kind of cynical on using a hair product on my face. It is expensive and not easily available in India. If you have dry ,dull ,damaged hair highly recommend this hydrating hair spray.
