A while back I invested in two skincare products from Olay – Olay White Radiance Intensive Brightening Serum and Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Night Cream. This was for the first time . I tried skincare products from Olay .I was quite excited for both the products as I really loved the packaging and claims of brightening serum while Olay Total Effects range always allured the ‘ tired by night mom‘ in me. After my second pregnancy , I tend to get easily tired by evening so to keep things minimal at night I planned for holistic , two step night skincare with both these products from Olay. However in this post today, I will be sharing my review Olay White Radiance Intensive Brightening Serum.

The product claims to “Intensive treatment with high concentration of whitening active & dual color vitamin beads. Tackles surface and hidden whitening issues; for luminous fairness. White Radiance has high concentration of Cellucent whitening active, Vitamin B3, Natural Plant Whitening Extract and dual color vitamin beads. Tackles both surface and hidden whitening issues like spots, darkness, and uneven skin tone. Non-greasy formula. Use with UV cream/lotion during day time.

My Review

Olay Intensive Brightening Serum is a clear gel like serum with diffused , air bubble like vitamin granules housed in plastic bottle with pump mechanism. Granules in the serum get crushed once you pump out the liquid. So freshly pumped serum looks hazy,milky gel that spreads smoothly on skin surface. Inner chamber of the bottle that holds the serum,moves up after every use which becomes discernable once you finish using up considerable amount of the product. I love this kind of packaging as it clearly indicates amount of the product left behind and when exactly you need to replace it with fresh bottle.

I usually take 2-3 pumps of this brightening serum for my entire face & neck avoiding under eye area. I use it as Step 3 of my daily CTM routine which means I apply it on my cleansed & toned face before moisturiser. On massaging,it gets absorbed in skin within seconds without leaving any greasy residue. On my dry skin, it feels barely moisturising and I feel the need to quench my skin with proper moisturiser after applying this serum.

I have been using it both for my morning and evening skincare since past four months. After two weeks of use, it visibly brightened up my complexion . On regular use, It managed to cancel the sun tan especially on my forehead. It lightens up blemishes and post acne marks also to some extent .It brightens up all over skin complexion, makes it look more refined and uniform. My skin looks radiant but it barely does anything to lighten up pigmentation around my mouth area. It should suit all skin types but barely moisturise dry skin.

Olay White Radiance Intensive Brightening Serum is light weight, runny gel like serum that is packaged in attractive frost finish bottle with pump mechanism.Formula spreads easily , has no fragrance and gets absorbed in skin within seconds. It is non-greasy formulation which makes it a great product for oily skin. However dry skin needs a dose of moisturiser on top of this. I have been using Olay White Radiance Brightening Serum from quite some time. I can appreciate the way it has brightened up my complexion in this span of time. My complexion looks uniform to some extent which means it acts on dark spot and pigmented areas also. But the results are not spectacular , even after months of regular use. I think it’s a great product for overall complexion enhancement however if you are looking for dark spot correction or major pigmentation reduction, you can skip this. Again if you have a clear skin naturally , it can be a great product to incorporate in your skincare for combating tanning and adding radiance to skin.
