NARS Taj Mahal Blush Review
AS CLAIMED BY BRAND
The ultimate authority in blush, NARS offers the industry’s most iconic shades for cheeks. Natural, healthy-looking color that immediately enlivens the complexion. A light application of even the highest-intensity hues delivers a natural-looking flush.
Silky texture in matte and shimmering shades
Micronized powder ensures soft, blendable application
NARS blushes come packaged in rectangular pan fitted well in a sleek black flip open case.Packaging has rubberized finish with NARS insignia on lid while base has the name of blush. There is Full-Lid size mirror in the blush case. As a beginner , I always loved the rubberized matte finish which meant luxury for me. But somehow rubberized matte case tends to look dirty and dingy after some time. It catches dust and minutest of foundation(mostly in my case) from my hands. I have lot of foundation finger prints on my NARS Blush case right now. Cleaning with alcohol will peel off the rubber and the packaging will loose its classy finish. I love this finish and would have loved it more if like Dior products, I can keep this Little black lady safe in a Velvet pouch.
NARS Taj Mahal is described as Bleeding burnt orange with gold shimmer by NARS. It looks intimidating ORANGE with lot of gold shimmer in pan. Honestly, I would have never picked it up on a first go for that scary orange shade. But it is gorgeous orange blush for medium-deeper and tan skin tones. My complexion in NC 41 and the blush adds lovely summer warmth to my cheeks. It has crazy intense pigmentation so I apply it delicately and deftly.
Being smooth silky textured,Blush blends well imparting orange color to my cheeks with sheen of gold. The shimmer in blush is fine milled , does not look glittery rather adds to the golden glow of orange tint. On my Medium skin complexion I get a warm orange glow in single sweep of brush. Even when layered for more color( On olive skin tones) It does not powdery cakey on face. I hardly spotted any fly outs while blending the blush.
NARS Taj Mahal lasted whole long day on my face. I hardly did a touch up later in the day. It does not fade or goes patchy with prominent glitzy shimmer particles dancing all over face by the end of the day.As the sparkle in blush is refined to sobriety.
Taj Mahal can be used in multiple ways.
On Medium Skin tones ,It can be used to create that tanned -goddess look. In FOTD here , for the purpose of demonstration I have just applied it TAJ Mahal on my cheeks. Otherwise I like to use it as highlighter with MAC Peaches blush.
VANILLA RATINGS 9.5/10
Right now , I am possessed by Taj mahal.Taj Mahal is gorgeous burnt bright orange (Copperish) blush with gold shimmer. This blush is intensely pigmented and is best applied light handedly. It imparts flattering orange tint with golden sheen on deeper complexions while on medium complexions it adds that perfect sun kissed radiant warmth.
I am NC 41 with prominent yellow undertones. Taj Mahal gives apt touch of warmth, with golden radiance and tanned glow . In summers, I intend to go bold for that Honeyed-goddess look. I have paired this up with Coral-Orange Lipstick here in the post but it looks equally flattering with N*de Peach Lips ( tried it with MAC Fanfare). Highly recommend NARS Taj Mahal for Indian Skin tones. Don’t think just Grab it!!
