Today in this post Milani Baked Powder Blush Dolce Pink 01 Review,Swatch,Photos
I am going to share this gorgeous pink blush,I got from Walmart US and mentioned about it in my US Drugstore Haul post. In fact, before this blush, I have never tried any product from Milani Makeup. I have been watching so many Beauty Youtubers raving about Milani Makeup especially lipsticks and blushes since past few years. I read couple of brilliant reviews of Dolce Pink online before making this purchase. Also I was looking for soft – natural pink blush with glowing finish for regular use. Dolce Pink looked pretty with reflective gold finish. So I went ahead with it and here is the review for you!!

Milani Baked Powder Blush Dolce Pink 01 Review
AS CLAIMED BY BRAND
This silky blush with benefits can be used so many ways. It shapes, it contours, it highlights. Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, it’s buildable from sheer to vibrant. Yes, it adds a cheeky pop of colour to your complexion. Radiance and warmth, too.
Milani Baked Powder Blush Dolce Pink is housed in a dual chamber, round packaging with golden rimmed flip off lid. Blush dome is visible across the transparent central acrylic part of lid. While the upper chamber has the blush dome ,lower chamber has the small brush with mirror. I usually use the brush for touch ups and actually loved the mirror/brush in my blush packaging. Packaging looks attractive with radiant golden accents. I will label it somewhere between sturdy(more) and Flimsy( Less). It is user friendly and travel safe.
Milani Baked Powder Blush Dolce Pink is a pretty pink-peach blush with slight golden duo chrome . It will look wonderful on everyone. Dolce Pink has prominent gold shimmer which can easily be made out on blush dome and swatch. So I will categorize it as evening/party blush. Though the shimmer blends up to set reflective gold sheen but I love my day blush either matte or with mild iridescent finish at max.
In case you are comfortable to wear shimmer blush in day,Dolce Pink is the lovely daily wear pigment.Besides this it can be used as an highlighter with peach-medium pink blushes. It fits the bill to be a part of Bridal/Festive Vanity.
Milani Baked Powder Blush has a silky smooth texture that blends effortlessly. I usually apply it with my Real Techniques Blush Brush. My blush brush picks up decent amount of blush pigment in single swirl.I tap off the excess and then apply it on apple of my cheeks.I can see some powder in pan on swirling but not crazy chalky residues or fly outs during application.Dolce Pink is medium pigmented blush.I usually layer it up twice to show up on my NC 41/ L’oreal infallible Golden Beige 140 complexion. It can be worn light for more natural finish or can be layered for glowing pink finish ( especially on olive skin tones)
Unlike most of the baked mineral blushes,It does not highlight pores on my skin. It has build able texture and does not look cakey on layering if you want to intensify the color. On blending, I get pink peach color on my cheeks with a soft golden sheen/glow. Gold shimmer in the blush stays at place but bit prominent to fit in my day blush criteria.I need to touch up after 4.5-5 hours.Otherwise blush wears smooth without going patchy.
Dupe Alert: I find it as a Dupe for Bourjois Lilas D’or Golden Lilac Blush(Review Here). Only difference being that Gold shimmer in Milani Blush is more pronounced. In swatch, two blushes may appear different but on blending they end up giving almost similar finish.(Images shared on Instagram-#trystwithvanillagirlblog) .This makes it the closest drugstore dupe of NARS Orgasm Blush. As when I compared Lilas D’or with NARS Orgasm, I found shimmer in NARS more prominent.
VANILLA RATINGS 9/10
I was always keen to try Milani Cosmetics. I ordered Lipsticks and Blush both from the brand but my lipsticks shades went out of stock. I am really happy that I got to try this baked powder blush from Milani. With its soft buildable texture , decent pigmentation, easy application and decent stay I will love to try out more shades from this range-Rose D’ore and Luminioso are on my wish list!!
