I am going to share my journey of two continuos months with this palette. I have been using it lot more than the FOTD’s I have shared in the post. Meanwhile I have developed few favorites- Tease Me being top in the list 7& I tend to pull looks using those favorites. I will be sharing more on My best favorites from this palette in the post subsequently.Death by Chocolate is a colloquial descriptive or marketing term for various desserts that feature chocolate(especially dark chocolate or cocoa) as the primary ingredient . Makeup Revolution I Makeup Death By Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette , is a wonder palette( just like her sister I♥ chocolate in best possible manner. The chocolatey carousal begins with sleek , flip off packaging which looks like a melting chocolate bar and is made up of good quality plastic .This chic chocolate bar arrived in cardboard box -back side of which bears picture of Eyeshadow palette inside. It gives fair enough idea of shades inside. I love storing the palette in this cardboard box itself as it has central transparent cellophane window across which the chocolate case is visible plus for better grip. I love Hot pink detailing on cardboard cover of these chocolate sisters.
Open the sleek case, there is a huge mirror inserted in the lid side while the base has 16 rectangular pans of eyeshadows.Along with delectable sight, packaging tantalized my olfaction buds too with deep sweet chocolate aroma. Within the palette is a dual ended sponge applicator which is of slight use but the hollow for the brush is long enough to hold my unbranded eyeshadow brush which I bought online . All the eyeshadows in this palette are named around the chocolate theme. I loved the chocolatey love names which are written on thin cellophane paper inserted within the palette.
The palette has 14 beautiful eyeshadows which are gorgeous variants of Brown ,Taupes and Gold with two matte highlighters. Highlighter shades can be made out easily as they are packaged as strips towards the corners of palette.I was delighted to see Deep frosted plum and Soft matte pink eyeshadow .
Then right in the top right corner is back eyeshadow Eyeshadow which actually is must for any eyeshadow palette.Almost the Eyeshadows are good to superb in pigmentation on my primed as well as non primed lids. But with primer underneath definitely eyeshadows look more vibrant and wear longer crease free.I hardly spotted any fall outs in the pan or on my face while using these eyeshadows.
Swatches & Shades
White Light: Soft white shadow with matte finish. Non powdery mainly meant for highlighting inner corners and brow bone.
Lick Me: My favorite!! Soft matte pink shadow with mauve undertones. Ideal transition color /lid color.
Fool’s Gold: Gorgeous satin finish champagne gold with hint of shimmer
Pray for Me: Taupe-y brown eyeshadow with satin shimmer finish. I mostly wear this as Lid Color with Red Lipstick
Dipped:Pretty dusky brown eyeshadow, can be used as lid color as well as blending darker eyeshadows.
Matte Eyeshadows are not chalky powdery whereas the other three satin-shimmer finish eyeshadow are silky soft in texture, intensely pigmented and swatch true to pan color. I have not spotted any fall outs or powder residues while working with these. Favorites’s -Lick Me and Pray for Me.
Among the middle six eyeshadows-three have matte finish and other three with satin finish.
Matte’s in the Middle section of I Makeup Death By Chocolate
Break me up: Soft Naked brown . I mostly use it as transition color and remind me of MAC kid eyeshadow. Very soft texture and blends without looking patchy.
One More Brown: My favorite!! I love to wear this shade in my socket. Looks lovely on Indian skin tones when used as only Lid Color.
Devour Me: very pretty deep black brown eyeshadow. I mostly use it to create “Not too Stark” smokey eye looks.
Set of just these there browns can be used to create soft smokey eyes-Indian Classic smokey eyes!!
Satin Finish Eyeshadows
Don’t Let Go: Soft Champagne eyeshadow , reminds me of MAC All that Glitters/Inglot 455 Pearl Eyeshadow. It blends easily and can be used as the only lid color or pair up with darker eyeshadow to highlight inner corners.
Tease Me: Loveliest shade in palette!! It is silvery grey eyeshadow which compliments deep pinks/reds on your lips. My Most used shade in palette.
Set Me Free: is moonlit white eyeshadow that can be as highlighter.
All the shades wear well with or without primer, blend well and have decent pigmentation.
The last set of eyeshadows have some deep color eyeshadows.
All is lost: As I said that this black eyeshadow complete this palette.Matte in finish, average pigmentation, can be build up for more intense look.
Consume Me: Deep burnt chocolate eyeshadow with slight taupe tones. I mostly wear it to define my socket area but can be used as lid color as well.
Love you to death: My favorite!! Peep plum eyeshadow with satin finish. love to pair it up with lick me.
Tear the wrapper : is soft bronze shade which has satin finish. I wear this shadow mostly as my lid color . I mostly wear it with One more bar in outer corner of my lids.
Bring down Angels: Beige Gold Eyeshadow with frosted finish. I mostly use it as highlighter and blend the soft browns in palette.
All the shades wear well with or without primer, blend well and have decent pigmentation.Mattes’s are non chalky while satiny one’s are soft but do not crumble.
As Eyeliners: One More Bar and Love you to death will be my Top picks!!
On lower lid: Above two eyeshadows plus Set me free in Inner corners are my best picks!!
I am wearing L’oreal Extraordinaire Star Pinks Juliane Magnolia here(Review Here). This has been my favorite look in March-April. I love the soft taupe reflective eyeshadow with deep plums.
This Makeup look I did using almost all the matte eyeshadows from the palette. This is again my super favorite way to wear matte shadows of Death By Chocolate.
VANILLA RATINGS 10/10
This eyeshadow palette is must for choco-oholics !! Melting chocolate dressed beauty looks so appealing. You should definitely give try to this Makeup Palette for the gorgeous warm browns and cool taupes . As they say, Chocolate is the New Black!! This Palette is great assembly of soft as well as deep brown shades to create delicate smoky eye looks.
Packaging is classy and chic!! I loved the quality of the eyeshadows , shade collection, velvety /matte textures and flawless finish and stay!! I loved the layout and fabulous shade selection. I find the Taupe’s in the palette absolutely divine. There is one taupe/grey for everyone. Availability is a con here but I don’t want to quibble on that after getting such a beautiful array of synchronized neutrals with varied finish in “Chocolate” wardrobe!! Recommended Chocolate Revolution Palette with oodles of Vanilla!!
