Makeup Geek Powder Blush Infatuation Review,Swatch,Photos. This is my first ever makeup product from Makeup Geek. I am a huge fan of Marlena ( Youtube- makeupgeektv ) and watching her videos since the day I started my own journey on Youtube. As I shared in my Beauty Bay Haul, I hauled one blush , five eyeshadows and a magnetic eyeshadow/blush palette as my wedding anniversary gift from the brand. Nevertheless to mention, I am super impressed with the quality of all the six products I bought. Today I will be reviewing lovely warm brown powder blush – Infatuation by Makeup Geek. Again this is for the first time, I have tried blush like Infatuation which being matte brown was a difficult choice for my medium skin tone to begin with. I wanted to move out of my comfort zone of peaches & corals and try something new this time so went ahead with it !!
To begin with I was confused between MUG’s Summer fling and Infatuation but Summer Fling is warm, tone darker than Infatuation that is suitable for deeper skin tones. I have shared skin tone recommendation chart for Makeup Geek blushes in the post below. It can be helpful if you are considering to buy MUG blushes. Makeup Geek Powder Blush Infatuation is warm brown blush housed in sleek metallic compact case. Blush case looks attractive with MUG inscribed on the lid which has magnetic closure and good quality mirror perfect for touch -up. I even loved the cardboard sleeve of the blush case with rose gold detailing.
As I said in the beginning ,Infatuation is lovely warm brown blush powder that looks flattering on my medium skin tone. Infact it is will compliment most of Indian skin tones given to its subtle brown- warm peach color that compliments with golden undertones of Indian skin. As it has certain warmth,it may end up looking muddy on fair skin tones so they may go ahead with subtle browns like Heart throb or Bliss.
Makeup Geek – Infatuation is incredebly pigmented blush that blends seamlessly and warm peach color to my cheeks. It does not stain the point of first contact rather blends up effortlessly adding dose of uniform peach color. Texture of MUG blush Infatuation is soft and I get enough product on my brush in single swirl.
Considering it’s a powder blush, I don’t see any major powder residues in pan post use. It resists to crumble up even if I use most scratchy blush brush. Now since the blush powder has superb pigmentation , I apply it light handedly. On certain days if I desire more color ,I choose to apply it in layers given to the rich pigments in blush formula. On my cheeks,it gives luminous matte finish without highlighting appearance of pores or looking patchy. Sometimes I use it with my soft peach blushes to contour and add structure to my face. It lasts for about 5-6 hours on my cheeks after that it starts fading but does so uniformly.
VANILLA RATINGS 9.7/10
Makeup Geek Blushes are known for their flawless formula which is devoid of talc and parabens. These blushes are cruelty free, gluten free and are 100% vegan. I really loved the luxe, metallic compact blush case that comes with a good quality mirror. Makeup Geek Infatuation is incredibly pigmented ,warm brown blush that adds warm peach color on my cheeks with luminous matte finish when used light handedly.
I chose the compact case version is slightly expensive than the pan version which can be a great option especially if you already have a magnetic palette or Z palette. It last fairly long and blends effortlessly giving uniform warm peach color on my cheeks. I highly recommend this particular shade in your blush collection especially if you have medium skin tone or around NC 41-42 complexion.
