In this post – Lancome Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact Review,Demo,Photos
I will be sharing my experience with this hydrating makeup compact that comes with unique cushion sponge soaked in liquid foundation. Cushion foundation/makeup is basically a sponge soaked in a watery liquid foundation. Once you press down on the springy sponge , the liquid foundation formula will be released. Inspired from the Korean Makeup Scene , Lisa Elridge ,Lancome’s Creative director introduced Lancome Cushion Makeup in 2015. I picked up my Lancome Cushion from Sephora , Bali and was quite surprised to see the entire store loaded with cushion products from Laneige,Missha,TonyMoly but most of the Korean brands were too pale for my skin tone. I got lucky to find my perfect shade- Beige Peche 03 in Lancome. For more on this keep reading

Lancome Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact Review
Brand Claims:A color-true, liquid foundation in a unique cushion sponge that seamlessly delivers light to medium coverage while hydrating the skin.
What it does:
This oil-free Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact creates a dewy finish for a polished glow. Its innovative cushion sponge contains over 800,000 pores to transfer the ideal amount of product for an effortless makeup application. This multitasking formula is infused with skin care actives that give skin a boost of intense hydration, delivering a cooling sensation while brightening the appearance of skin. Miracle Cushion provides the benefits of a BB/CC cream while offering the benefits of light to medium coverage found in a liquid foundation. Simply give this foundation compact an easy tap for light coverage, and then give it a heavier tap for more coverage. Suspended in a cushion sponge, the liquid is enclosed in an air-tight compact for convenient portability.
Lancome Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact is a feather light, hydrating liquid foundation which is soaked in a sponge with up to 8,00,00 pores to deliver enough amount of foundation. Sponge refill is housed in a sleek round mirrored compact case with two lids. The outer white lid bears Lancome rose in the centre and has mirror on the inner side. Whereas second lid ,hinged at right angle to the first one serves as hollow to store the beauty sponge and keep the foundation cushion safe from drying.
Beauty Sponge provided within the packaging picks and apply product pretty seamlessly. Sponge applicator tends to look gross after regular use due to product built up so I wash it after some time for cleaner subsequent uses. Packaging is quite convenient and functional. It is travel friendly compared to standard liquid bottle foundation. Lancome has innovated the packaging further by splitting the packaging in two parts. Main compact is one time investment where as you can always buy new foundation refill which comes for lesser price.
In Indonesia,Lancome Miracle Cushion is available in six shades , although Sephora Bali had this in just three shades. In US it is actually available in 11 different shades. My shade is Beige Peche ( MAC NC 42) which looks tad dark in cushion but turns out looking quite natural on my skin complexion.
This liquid foundation makeup is water thin in consistency and is extremely light weight.
On my prepped skin, I apply it with in-house beauty sponge by gently patting the sponge on my face. It gives sheer coverage in single layer and applies with cooling sensation. Being light weight, it can be layered up for more coverage without looking cakey .For more precise application, I fold the applicator in half for applying product in inner corner of my eyes, under nose, nose sides around the sides of your nose, under your nose.
With regular use, sponge has gone bit dirty so I tried applying it with my flat foundation brush. I stipple the foundation brush and then blend the product to have uniform non streaky finish. Another alternative is to apply it with slightly damp beauty sponge. I have tried applying it with YBP Makeup Perfector and I get pretty neat , well blended dewy finish.
Considering the hydrating texture and fresh dewy finish, I find it great for Normal to Dry skin.I never set it up with compact powder and let my skin enjoy breathable radiant finish. However oily skin beauties may consider setting it up with powder for long lasting matte finish.Formula is equally good for acne prone skin as it is devoid of emollients . It barely cancels redness and hides post acne blemishes.
Overall it is hassle free foundation makeup that spreads evenly and give natural radiant finish without accentuating appearance of pores or looking cakey.
It gives instant glow on application and feels moderately hydrating which my dry skin loves. Best way to apply it with Lancome beauty sponge which I wash regularly to prevent product build up.
VANILLA RATINGS 9/10
Cushion compacts are game-changing for a multitude of benefits. Lancome Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact is portable and is loaded with skin actives that gives extra hydration and anti-ageing benefits. Finish is always lightweight and dewy, never caked on.Easy tapping on cushion makeup gives you lighter coverage whereas heavier tap gives better coverage. I can’t stop admiring the hydrating texture and the cooling sensation it applies with. Texture is quite easy to blend, gives natural looking coverage with healthy glow. It hydrates without feeling greasy and is housed in brilliantly designed compact case.
Make sure you close the inner lid tightly after each use to preserve freshness and toss the cushion for extended use. I am enjoying my first ever cushion makeup with Lancome Miracle Cushion. Highly recommend this for Normal to Dry Skin. However, If you are looking for a heavy coverage makeup then you can safely skip this.It lasts for 8+ hours on me with minimal fading.
