Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow Off the Rack,Drama,Clock Strikes 12 Review,Swatch,Photos
I am going to share some Eyeshadow Singles from Lancome. These were GWP with Lancome’s makeup which my aunt bought abroad. Along with Makeup she gifted me GWP’s as well. Honestly, for that price I would have thought twice buying three eyeshadows at once. Now when I have them, I am quite liking using them. I think pricing is the only factor that has to considered with Lancome as far as makeup is concerned their quality is really good(whatever I have encountered so far). Here is the review of three eyeshadows-Off The Rack,Drama,Clock Strikes 12 with swatches and FOTD!!
Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow Off the Rack,Drama,Clock Strikes 12 Review
AS CLAIMED BY BRAND
Make a statement with these shadow singles designed by Lancôme Global makeup artists. Available in a variety of chic shades and finishes—from shimmer to sheen and metallic to matte—to complement every wardrobe. Lancôme’s Micro-aired technology promises effortless application and smooth-gliding color that’s beautifully blendable. The long-lasting, pigment-packed color stays true for daylong wear.
Lancome Color Design Eyeshadows are packaged sleek, black round plastic cases with a transparent slide open cover. I really like the way Lancome has designed their eyeshadow packaging. Across the lid you can see the eyeshadow .The slide open cover looks chic and prevents accidental eyeshadow chipping while opening.
Off the Rack
Off the Rack is gorgeous frosty, soft baby pink eyeshadow. It never looks what it looks in pan on my slightly pigmented lids. No matter what primer I use or how I conceal, It looks frosty white after blending on my lids. I get the shade closest when I use NYX Jumbo Pencil – Milk as a base. Plus the eyeshadow needs to be packed up for that dewy pink shade.Texture of the Eyeshadow is buttery smooth but does not crumble.Shimmers is fine milled, indistinct to metallic finish of the eyeshadow. It blends really well with minimal fall out.It can be used as Lid color as well as the highlighter shade in inner corners and brow bone.
Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow Drama is very pretty ,duo chrome eyeshadow with shimmer finish. It is a duo chrome between a vibrant purple and indigo blue. I find Drama Eyeshadow as beautiful radian purple for the spring. The eyeshadow shows up true to swatch on lids. It has decent pigmentation and blends really well. Texture is again silky soft without any crumbles. I have not spotted any major fall out with Eyeshadow Drama. It is a fun color and can be used in multiple ways to create fresh spring makeup looks.
Clock Strikes 12
Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow Clock Strikes 12 is Matte finish, Charcoal Grey Eyeshadow. It is an ideal shade to be used in the outer corner of the eye. However, It has average pigmentation so needs lot of product to create the smokey effect. Though it is claimed to be matte but has fine milled shimmer as I can see in eyeshadow pan which however is indiscernible on eyes. The texture is not buttery soft but still smooth. The shadow blends well and has bare minimal fall out. This is one of the shade in Lancome’s New 16 Eyeshadow Palette-Auda(city) in Paris.
All the above eyeshadows remain true to the color throughout the wear. Off the Rack is the one which fades faster than others. But If I prime up my lids ( I have used Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Primer for the FOTD Here),they stay longer and look more vibrant. On prolong wear , Eyeshadow fades but never look patchy or unsightly.
FOTD: I have used Off the Rack in inner corners, Drama as Lid color and Clock strikes 12 in the outer corner of my eye lids.
VANILLA RATINGS 8/10
I loved the stylish packaging of Lancome’s Color Design Sensational Effects Eyeshadow Smooth Hold Singles.Packaging is designed ergonomically with slide out transparent lid. eyeshadows glide on smoothly and blends effortlessly . I just wish Off the rack could have been more pigmented. The fall out with all the above mentioned shades is minimal . They are expensive and availability is issue in India. But Lancome keeps coming out with Palettes and GWP’s , So don’t miss checking out Lancome’s Counter at Duty-free or where so ever.
