Today I have come up with New Lakme 9 to 5 CC Complexion Care Cream Review,Swatch,Photos
I bought this to replace Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream which I have almost finished up using and Missha is not easily available in India. In fact I planned to buy Missha BB cream in Kuala Lumpur Airport/Bali but unfortunately my shade – Honey Beil was neither available in Kuala Lumpur Airport nor in Discovery Mall,Bali.Though I ended picking up BB Creams of other Korean brands from Bali meanwhile Lakme CC Cream came handy for regular use.
Lakme relaunched Lakme CC Cream as Lakme 9 to 5 CC Complexion Care Cream. I was able to spot different accents in labelling and raised SPF on tube itself . I was curious ( happens with relaunch !! ) on the other domains like coverage, wear time and shades. Keep reading here for more

New Lakme 9 to 5 CC Complexion Care Cream Review
Lakme claims:CC stands for Complexion Care. This cream combines the goodness of your daily skin cream with just the right touch of make-up to give you that perfect look in just a few minutes. The cream is available in 2 skin tones that work perfectly well for all Indian skin tones. Its skin care benefits include sun protection (SPF
20 30), moisturizing, brightening and freshness while its make-up benefits are an even skin tone and basic coverage to give you a naturally flawless look
Lakme 9 to 5 CC Complexion Care Cream is housed in convenient squeeze tube with a rose gold lid. Beige colored tube with black detailing and rose gold finish looks simply impressive. Lakme CC cream is available in two shades– Beige and Bronze. Beige is paler on my NC 41 skin complexion so I opted for Bronze. Both the shades have yellow undertones. Even the Bronze is not right for my NC 41 complexion due to dominant yellow tones. However, On blending the light and sheer formula yellow tones loose the prominence. Therefore shade Bronze wears well on medium skin complexions. I set it up with Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder Amber to achieve the right tone finish .
Lakme CC Cream is lightweight, shimmer free tinted cream that spreads well on my moisturized skin. It blends out easily creating the uniform even skin tone with touch of natural glow. Just like old formula, it has foundation like smell which is mild and does not linger. It moisturize and lits up my complexion from within. I have combination dry skin and I stay in air-conditioned atmosphere for most part of my day.Once set with pressed powder I hardly need any touch up for up to 7 hours. But the moisturisation offered by CC Cream is not enough for me. I have to apply my serum and moisturizer underneath. New Lakme CC Cream has SPF 30 and PA ++. So I skip using Sunscreen with this on my face while staying indoors.Since it ’s lot hot and humid these days, I ended touching up every 2 hours to combat sweating.
Single layer of the CC Cream evens out my skin complexion. I found the coverage is sheer and hardly conceal any blemishes. Formula can be layered for more coverage given to light weight breathable texture. I rather reapply it any areas need to be concealed . It does not accentuate appearance of pores and is kind on my fine laugh lines.Oily skin girls may consider missing a moisturizer underneath. Also Oily skin may need frequent touch ups on T- zone/oily areas . Sheer coverage imparted by formula looks very natural which fades by the end of the day but does not look patchy.I mostly apply it with fingers which gives me semi matte finish. In the FOTD’s here I applied it with damp YBP Cosmetics Makeup perfector to achieve relatively dewy finish.
VANILLA RATINGS 7/10
Lakme launched its first ever CC Cream in 2013 in just two shades. Relaunching it again in two same shades which do not cater to most of Indian skin tones is slightly disappointing. I was expecting a decent palette of shades this time. It moisturize and evens out complexion but gives sheer coverage barely concealing blemishes. Formula will suit all skin types and comes with decent SPF/PA factor. It is a good regular wear cream for smooth natural polished skin but if you are seeking out good coverage/concealing this is not for you. Beginners, Girls in late teens and college going girls may try using this for MSBB finish.
Lakme CC Cream is Complexion Care Cream. It is different from traditional CC Ceams which are Color Corrector creams meant to cancel out redness/sallow skin. Though term CC Cream is misleading for end consumer but Lakme no where talks about color correction . So once again, Lakme has managed to garner attention with Beauty world Jargon “CC Cream” but I find Lakme 9 to 5 CC Cream as a slightly upgraded version of tinted moisturizers. It stylise skin to its better, very own yet refined form without being heavy on pocket. Putting it again here, being budget friendly and refined natural skin finish makes this product desirable for students and beginners
